Honea Path – Janie Arveline Brock Wilson, 82, widow of John Dillard Wilson, formerly of 101 Franklin St. died Thursday, December 10, 2009 at NHC in Anderson.

Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Elizabeth Banister Brock. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and was retired from Honea Path Shirtmakers.

Surviving are three sons; Cecil Ashley and wife Nancy of Abbeville, Roger Dale Ashley and wife Alice of Belton, William Earl Ashley of Honea Path; three daughters, Jo Ann Brock and husband Maxie of Honea Path, Francine Weathers and Billy Ray Frankum of Belton, and Shelby Brock and husband Donnie Ray of Honea Path; two step-sons, Norris Wilson and wife Linda of Greenwood and John A. Wilson and wife Natalie of San Antonio, Texas; three sisters, Betty Jean Brock of Honea Path, Ruth Burton of Honea Path and Lois Brock of Belton; eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was pre-deceased by a brother, Wallace Brock and a sister Hazel Ballard.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday at Keowee Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Mize and Rev. Ray Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 1 PM Saturday. The family is at the home of a daughter, JoAnne Brock, 603 Brock Road.
