Leon “Rabb” Lollis

Donalds – Leon “Rabb” Lollis, 84, of 133 Park Street, husband of Katie Bell Phillips Lollis died Monday, December 7, 2009 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Paul (Buck) and Addie Davis Lollis. He was of the Baptist Faith and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed many years of hunting deer, raccoons, and especially rabbits in his later years. Mr. Lollis also served in World War II as a Seaman First Class aboard the USS Oliver Mitchell DE 417.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Katie Phillips Lollis of the home; two sons; James (Slick) Lollis and wife Mary Ann and Randle Lollis and wife Teresa all of Donalds; two grandchildren, Michelle Lollis Autry and husband Dallas and Jonathan I. Lollis and wife Kayla all of Honea Path; two great-grandchildren Samantha (Sam) Autry and Laney Lollis both of Honea Path; one brother, Jim Lollis of Ware Shoals and sister, Sybil Phillips of Honea Path.

He was predeceased by siblings; Horace Lollis, Doris Allen, Polly Patterson, Margaret Manley and Janie Lou Richey.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with Rev. T.W. McGuffin, Rev. Stanley Fuller and Rev. Justin Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden Of Memories.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 P. M. Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621. The family is at the home. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com
