Wesley Wilson

Honea Path – Robert Wesley Wilson, 80, of 220 Due West Road, husband of Betty JoAnn Reepe Wilson, died Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at his home.

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Roland Oscar and Edith Mae Lowe Wilson. He was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, retired from Glen Raven Mills of Anderson and a veteran of the US Army, Korean War.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are: one son, James “Jimmy” Wilson and wife Tammy of Anderson; one brother, Don Wilson of Belton; five sisters, Lethia Alewine, Linda Ashley and Betty Rogers all of Belton, Olene Bear of Pelzer and Nancy Brake of Anderson and one grandchild, Lindsey Wilson of Anderson. He was predeceased by a sister, Hilda Lundkovsky.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Culbertson and Rev. Howard Steen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday at Pruitt Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 10 A.M. Thursday. The family is at the home of his son, 641 Shirley Store Road, Anderson. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson or Jones Chapel Church of God of Prophecy Building Fund, 2105 Jones Chapel Rd., Belton 29654.
