Lois Hughes

Ware Shoals - Lois Frances Teague Dixon Hughes, 83, widow of Alton Hughes, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Brookside Living Center in Anderson. She was twice married first to the late Everett Woodrow Dixon.

Born in Union County, she was the daughter of the late David and Lottie Taylor Teague. She was a member of the Hodges Church of God and was retired from Greenwood Mills.

Surviving are: one son, William Woodrow Dixon of Baltimore MD.; two daughters, Debbie Holliday and husband James of Belton and Pat Snow and husband Dean of Whitesburg GA.; three brothers, Ray, Clyde and Harold Teague all of Charlotte NC.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Saturday at Hodges Church of God with Rev. Charles Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home of a daughter Debbie Holliday, 708 Mayfield School Rd., Belton, and will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM Saturday at the church prior to the service.
