Ethel “Monk” Haynes

Honea Path – Ethel Jane “Monk” Haynes, 77, formerly of 101 Franklin Street, died Friday, May 29, 2009 at Hospice House in Anderson.

Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Margie Bagwell Haynes and a member of Broadmouth Baptist Church.

Surviving are: one brother, Henry Haynes and wife Kathey of Honea Path; one sister, Edna H. Cowart of Donalds; two sisters-in-law, Glenda Haynes of Honea Path and Corrine Haynes of Powdersville; and several loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Jane Phillips; two brothers, George Haynes and Claude Haynes and one sister, Dolly Johnson.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Broadmouth Baptist Church with the Rev. T. W. McGuffin officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
