James Calvin Shaw

Honea Path – Mr. James Calvin Shaw, 88, formerly of North Augusta, died at Richard Campbell Nursing Center, Wednesday, May 27, 2009.

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Charlie F., Sr. and Alice Pepper Shaw. He was retired from Seminole Mfg. Co. of Clearwater and a veteran of the US Army, WWII.

Surviving are: one daughter, Debbie Gillespie of Anderson; two grandsons, James and Jason Gillespie of Anderson; and two great-grandchildren, Tristen and Alyssa Gillespie of Belton. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Charlie F. Shaw, Jr. and three sisters, Eunice Glasby, Clara Powell and Sara Shaw.

Graveside service will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday at Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with the Rev. Garnett Hanley officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
