Harold Campbell

Due West – William Harold Campbell, 82, husband of Hazel Williams Campbell, of 160 N. Main St. died Saturday at Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood.

Born in Abbeville County he was a son of the late Dewey Anderson and Lydia Smith Campbell. He was a member of Due West Baptist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army, World War II, and was retired from Riegel Textile Co.

Surviving are his wife of the home, two daughters, Patsy Raley of Lincolnton, Ga. and Carolyn Nickles of Due West, Shelby and Kenneth Williams, raised in the home, a brother, Julian Campbell of Donalds, two sisters, Mary Nichols and Ruby McConnell, both of Anderson, five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Dewey Linburg Campbell.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday at Due West Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Philyaw and Rev. Paul Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at Pruitt Funeral Home, Honea Path. The family is at the home. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com.
