Connie Burel Perry

Donalds – Connie Burel Perry, 91 of 248 Main St., widow of Frank L. Burel and Claiborne Perry, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

Born in Leak County, MS, she was a daughter of the late William E. “Will” and Anna Beckham Dowell. She was a member of Donalds Baptist Church where she attended the Winsome Sunday School Class. She was retired from Huggins Garment Co.

Surviving are two sons, Benny Burel and wife Charlene of Ware Shoals, and Gary Burel and wife Carolyn of Donalds, three step-daughters, Charlotte McPhail, Judy Johnson, and Glenda Stewart, all of Mississippi, a niece raised in the home, Virginia Swales of Jackson, MS, three grandchildren, Travis Burel and wife Tracey of Donalds, Blake Burel of Donalds, and Tamara Rhodes and husband Tracy of Greenwood, three great-grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Friday at Donalds Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Sturkie and Rev. Ruel Westbrook officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 Friday at Donalds Baptist Church prior to the service. The family is at the home.
