Clara Belle Madison

Honea Path – Clara Belle Fields Madison, 89, wife of James William Madison, of 14 Eastview Street died Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at her home.

Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Curtis C. and Elizabeth Fields. She was a member of Keowee Baptist Church and retired from Honea Path Shirtmakers.

Surviving in addition to her husband are: one son, Roger and wife Debra of Honea Path; one sister, Frances Lollis of Honea Path; two grandchildren, Jeff Madison and wife Alicia of Honea Path, Jamie Madison and wife April of Iva; three great-grandchildren Adam, Aaron and Katelyn Madison.

She was predeceased by a brother, Marvin William Fields and two sisters, Blanche Ashley and Beulah Simpson.

Graveside services to be held Friday at 4PM at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Mize officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3:30 PM at Pruitt Funeral Home.

The family will be at the home of her son, Roger Madison, 305 Haynie Drive. Donations may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com.
