Mrs. E C Yarbrough

Honea Path – Mrs. E C Cole Yarbrough, 90, widow of Ernest Yarbrough, of The Maples, died Sunday, October 5, 2008 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Enoch and Effie Rodgers Cole. She was a member of the Honea Path Church of God where she served as Treasurer of the Young at Heart, and Secretary of the Women’s Ministries. She was retired from Riegel Textile Co.

Surviving are one son, Ray Yarbrough of Honea Path; one daughter, Nell Anders of Peachtree City, Ga.; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.

She was pre-deceased by two sons, Ernest (Pete) and Bobby Yarbrough. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family of thirteen children.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday at the Honea Path Church of God with Rev. M. Eric Shuler, Rev. George Cooper, and Rev. Charlie Driggers. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 P.M. Tuesday at the Church prior to the service. The family is at the home of her son, Ray Yarbrough; 109 W. Greer Street.
