Margaret Harris

Ware Shoals - Margaret Pitts Harris, widow of Earl Harris of Maiden, N.C., formerly of Ware Shoals, died on August 26, 2008.

She was born in Laurens County, on November 8, 1911 to Brucie Kellett and John Acey Pitts. She is survived by a daughter, Erlene Geddes and husband David of Maiden, N.C.; five grandchildren, Melissa Soucheck and husbsand Chris of Mint Hill, N.C.; Mary Anacleto and husband Gino of Raleigh, N.C.; Melonie Geddes of Charlotte, N.C.; Meggen Geddes of Monroe, N.C.; and Michelle Beasley and husband Chris, one great granddaughter, Ellie Beasley. She is also survived by one brother, Leroy Pitts and wife Doris, two sisters, Frances Smith and husband Bob, and Ruth Allen, all of Ware Shoals, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews that she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Lucille Bray, Lizzie Medlin, Pearl Brown, Nettie Pitts, and two brothers William and John Pitts.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Agust 29, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. at First Presbyterian Church, Ware Shoals, Visitation will be held at the church prior to the services beginning at 1:30 P.M.
