Gladys Whitt

Honea Path – Gladys Brock Whitt, 90, widow of Charlie E. Whitt, Jr., of 515 W. Greer St., went to be with the Lord Friday, August 15, 2008 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

Born in Abbeville County she was a daughter of the late Dewitt Talmadge and Reecie Campbell Brock. She was a member of the Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church and was retired from the Anderson District #2 Lunch Room.

Surviving are two brothers, Waymond Brock and Dennis (A.C.) Brock both of Honea Path, a sister Mrs. Joyce Brock Cowart of Belton, and numerous nephews and nieces. She was pre-deceased by three brothers, Jason Brock, Roy Brock, and Ray Brock.

Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Saturday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ted Coody and Rev. Robbie Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 P.M. Saturday at Pruitt Funeral Home prior to the service. The family is at the home of a sister, Joyce Cowart, 712 Lewis Rd. Belton. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com
