Gerald “Butch” Malone

Anderson – Gerald Dee “Butch” Malone, 69 of 216 Boxwood Lane, husband of Shirley Casey Malone, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, July 24, 2008 at his home.

Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Frank Vernon Malone and Louise Davis Malone Henderson. He was a member of the Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Honea Path Centre Lodge #37 A.F.M. He was retired from Celenese and Bosch.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons; Scott Malone and wife Debbie of Honea Path, Barry Todd and wife Sue, Gregg and Scott Todd, all of Anderson; an aunt, Ruby Armstrong of Greenville; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Saturday at the Honea Path Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Ted Coody, Rev. Paul Cooper and the Rev. Gene Brown officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10 A.M. Saturday. Burial will follow in The Garden of Memories. The Honorary Pallbearers will be the Sanctuary Sunday School Class.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home in Honea Path. The family is at the home. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com.
