Alene Bell

Honea Path – Alene Gambrell Bell, 81, widow of Charlie Lee Bell died Saturday at her home.

Born in Anderson county she was a daughter of the late James Ray Gambrell Sr. and Alice Keith Greer Gambrell. She was a member of the Honea Path Church Of God and the Sanctuary Sunday School Class and was retired from Anderson Area Medical Center.

Surviving are one son: Ronnie Bell and wife Donna of Honea Path, one daughter; Judy Bell Whatley of Greenwood, two brothers; Larry Gambrell of Leveland and James Ray Gambrell, Jr. of Anderson, four grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother; Billy Ray Gambrell.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Tuesday at the Honea Path Church Of God with Rev. Dr. George Cooper, Rev. Charlie Driggers, Rev. Curtis Eidson and Rev. Boyd King officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden Of Memories.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Monday at Pruitt Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 1 P.M. Tuesday.
