Velma Ellenburg

Greenville, SC – Velma Francis Caudell Ellenburg, 85, widow of Rev. Fred Bush Ellenburg, of 1180 Haywood Rd died Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Toccoa, Ga, she was a daughter of the late William Sterling and Hattie Pearl Cobb Caudell. She was of the Baptist Faith, and was retired from the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.

Surviving are two sons, Charles Ellenburg of Spartanburg, SC, and Tim Ellenburg of Anderson, SC, two daughters, Martha Durham of Greenville, SC, and Fredda Ward of Conway, one brother, Carlton Caudell of Dunwood, GA, four sisters, Jeanette Wilkins of Marietta, GA, Carol Masdon of Riverdale, GA, Evelyn Futrell of Muncie, IN, and Mae Brookman of Houston, TX, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was Pre-deceased by a daughter, Marika Van Deven, and a brother, Bill Caudell.

A graveside service will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday at Toccoa City Cemetery in Toccoa, GA, conducted by Rev. Roger Plemmons.
