Bertha Davis Childs

Waterloo - Bertha Davis Childs, 71, of 2771 Riverfork Road, widow of Martin H. Childs died Friday, June 13, 2008 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. She was born in Ware Shoals, a daughter of the late Henry H. and Bessie Lollis Davis and was retired from Solutia. She was a member of the New Beginnings Church in Waterloo.

Surviving are; one son, Randy Childs and wife Gail, Waterloo, one daughter, Wanda C. Cooper, Spartanburg, two sisters, Virginia Wells, Ware Shoals, Ola Burdette, Waterloo, seven grand children and five great grandchildren.

She was pre-deceased by sons, Jeff and Tim Childs.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3 pm at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Jack King officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Grandchildren will serve as active pallbearers.
