NELLIE CHASTEEN

Nellie Christine Stewart Chasteen of 91 Smith St. extension., widow of Roy Chasteen died Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Self Regional Medical Center. She was born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late James L. and Nanni Hudgens Stewart. She had retired from Mark’s Department Store.

Mrs. Chasteen was a member of First Presbyterian Church , theTriple L. Club and Ladies Hebron Bible Class of the church and the Ware Shoals Senior Citizens Golden Age Club.

Surviving are: one son, Charles E. Chasteen and wife Shirley, Ware Shoals: one daughter, Laura C. Butler and husband, Marion , Donalds, S.C. one sister, Julia Mae Hannah, Greenwood: five grandchildren, Deborah Ellison and husband , Alvin. Sherry Smith and husband, Steve, Steve Chasteen and wife, Susan, Richard Chasteen and wife, Linda, and Bryan Butler: nine great grandchildren, Jeff Ellison, Jenna Ellison, Mark Chasteen, Tracy Chasteen, Charli Chasteen, Drew Argo, Shannon Butler, Devin Butler, Amanda Smith:
One great great-grandson, Landen Chasteen and a special niece, Dianne Hannah.

Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, 3 pm at First Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. Wayne Wicker. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Mark, Richard, and Steve Chasteen, Bryan Butler, Jeff Ellison and Drew Argo . Honorary escort will be members of the Ladies Hebron Bible Class, Men’s Sunday School Class, Sue Butler, Henry Butler, Lenora Butler, Vivian Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Haskell Henderson

Memorials may be made to Treasurer,Building Fund of First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 542, Ware Shoals, S.C. or to Gideons Bibles, P.O. Box 522, Ware Shoals, S.C.
