Hayward Alverson

Ware Shoals – Hayward Martin Alverson, 85, widower of Sybil Beggs Alverson, of 16 Walnut St., died Thursday, February 7, 2007 at Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. He was born in Pelzer, a son of the late Lawrence and Lizzie Allen Alverson.
He was retired from Riegel Textile Corp. and was a member of Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving him are: one daughter, Shirley Faye Trupia, Ware Shoals, two sisters, France
Smith, Greenwood and Bernice Tollison, Greenwood. Also four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 pm at Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Mac Jones, Rev. Don McKeller and Rev. Ray Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Mark Trupia, Tony Trupia, Chad Trupia, Daniel Harris, Jaryd Mitchell and Chris Campbell
Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Boggs and Bub Chapman.

The family is at the home and will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 pm. at Parker-White Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 1 pm on Sunday.
