Cecil Lynch

Donalds – Cecil Smith Lynch, 70, husband of Sara Louise Cowart Lynch, of 43 Cedar Drive, died Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at his home.

Born in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Ivan James and Hazel Lee Smith Lynch. He was a member of North Greenwood Church of God and was a Vietnam Era U.S. Army Veteran. He was formerly employed by Emerald Welding of Greenwood.

Surviving are his wife of the home, two daughters, Gwen Mullinax (Justin) of Belton and Kristie Gilmer (Kevin) of Honea Path, three brothers, A.D. Anderson of Swansee, Dale Lynch of Lake City, and Tony Lynch of Scranton, a sister, Gail Suals of Lake City, five grandchildren, Summer Lee, Courtney Mullinax (Tyler), Abbi Mullinax, Kenny Webster (Tori) and Kristopher Gilmer, and four great-grandchildren, Skyler, Soren, Remi, and Nova. In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by a brother, Kenneth Lynch, and two sisters, Sharon Lynch and Karen Lynch.

Funeral services with Military Honors will be held at 3 PM on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Slatten officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1 to 3 P.M. on Monday prior to the service at Pruitt Funeral Home. In Leiu of flowers memorials should be made to Affinity Hospice, 3441 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC 29615 or to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
