Born in Spartanburg, he was a son Patricia Ann Staggs Gregory and the late Fred Defoy Gregory, II.  He was retired after 32 years from the Town of Honea Path as Sewer Department Supervisor.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, and riding motorcycles. He loved his family and grandchildren. 

Surviving in addition to  his loving wife of the home and mother of Spartanburg are: two sons, Fred  “Bubba” Gregory IV (Kalena) and Jason Gregory, both of Honea Path; his daughter, Crystal Fuller (Bo) of Honea Path, two step-sons, Michael Brock and Christopher Brock of Anderson; two brothers, Dale Gregory and Jimmy Gregory (Laura), both of Spartanburg; his sister, Shirley Crowe (Roger) of Spartanburg;  seven grandchildren, Daniel, Daisy, Luke, Sadie, Kash, Maggie and Tessa; and all his special friends and co-workers he made through the years of working for the town.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Keowee Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 PM on Thursday at Pruitt Funeral Home prior to the service.
