Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Alvin Keith and Fannie Mae Nelson Davis. She was a member of West Main Street Church of God in Ware Shoals where she served as an organist for many years and a 1951 graduate of Honea Path High School
Surviving are two sons, Lamar “Maynard” Henderson (Bennie) of Cross Hill and Mike Henderson of Ware Shoals, a daughter, Jane Henderson of Simpsonville, four sisters, Shirley Major, Pat Martin, Glenda Ricketts, all of Honea Path and Deborah Mahon of Anderson, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a brother, Charles Davis and a sister, Peggy Watts, and a daughter-in-law, Tammy Henderson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at West Main Street Church of God in Ware Shoals with Rev. Brian Dye and Rev. Johnny Waller officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 12 – 1 on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the church prior to the service.
