Born in Cheddar, he was a son of the late Charles Edward and Janie Elizabeth Reid Holland. He was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church where he served as choir director for over ten years. He was retired from Chiquola Mfg. Co. and was a member of the Princeton Lodge # 129 A.F.M.
Surviving are his wife of the home, two daughters, Deborah Jean Hughes (Eric) of Honea Path and Melinda Elizabeth Miller (Jamie) of Greenwood, a sister, Sybil Willard of Ware Shoals, five grandchildren, Jamie “Slim” Miller (Taylor), Chapin Smith (Holden), Taylor Bishop, Erica Hughes, and Zac Bishop, and one great granddaughter, Ruby Miller.
He was pre-deceased by five brothers, Wink, Charles Reid, John, Jack, and Grady Holland and two sisters, Edna Strickland and Grace Holland.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Harmony United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Rogers and Rev. Mark Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
