Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Judson D. “Sug” and Maude Sherman Phillips . She was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church and was retired from Monsanto, where she worked as a quality control technician. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and her family.
Mrs. Burton is survived by one son: David Philip Burton (Lori) of Honea Path; and two grandsons: Zachary and Eli Burton, both of Honea Path; one niece: Nancy Phillips Dilworth (Jack) and their grandson Jay of Honea Path; and one great-niece: Caroline McKinsey (Shannon) and their daughters Chelsea and Emilee of Honea Path.
She is preceded in death by one brother: Jack Phillips; and two sisters: Sarah and Nettie Phillips.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Saturday at Little River Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jamie Williams officiating.
