Born in Abbeville County, she was the daughter of the late James Walter and Myrtle Ellis Brock. She was a member of Donalds Baptist Church and was retired from Erskine College and Anderson University where she worked as a Financial Aid Counselor.
Surviving are: two sons, Brock (Lauren) Smith and Jamie (Kelly) Smith, all of Anderson, six grandchildren, Ben,Gabe, Noah, and Crosby Smith, and Savannah and Sara Kate Smith, and her former husband of 30 years, Randy Smith of Anderson. She was predeceased by her brother, Sammy Kay Brock.
Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Monday, September 25, 2017 at Donalds Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Sturkie, Rev. Dr. Steve Silvey, and Rev. Dr. Jim Thomason officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
