Scott Rogers

Ware Shoals – Scott Dewayne Rogers, 51, husband of Phyllis Cooper Rogers, died Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Wesley Commons.

Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of Betty Beeks Rogers and Benjamin Franklin (Debra) Rogers Jr. He attended Gethsemane Church and was formerly employed at ZF Transmission. A graduate of Ware Shoals High School, Scott was a member of the 1982 State Championship football team. He was an avid fan of the Clemson Tigers, the Dallas Cowboys, and NASCAR.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of the home and parents of Ware Shoals are: his daughter, Katie Smith (Ben) Hayden of Columbia, two brothers, Rodney (Angie) Rogers and Cass Rogers, both of Ware Shoals, his sister, Jennifer (Buddy) Pittman of Ware Shoals and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Ware Shoals First Presbyterian Church (Gethsemane Church) with Rev. Mark Lowe officiating.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. Saturday at the church prior to the service.
