Clarence “Bob” Tinsley

Honea Path – Clarence Bobby “Bob”  Tinsley, 82, widower of Lois Inez Brock Tinsley, formerly of 107 Tribble St., died Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Ellenburg Nursing Home.

 

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Frank and Leila Shirley Tinsley. He was a member, Deacon, and Sunday School Teacher of Chiquola Baptist Church. He was retired from Chiquola Manufacturing Company and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Korean War.

Surviving are two sons, Billy Smith and Haynie Smith both of Honea Path, a daughter, Peggy Alewine of Level Land, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a son Ray Smith, a brother, Curtis Tinsley, and three sisters, Grace Ashley, Ruth Tinsley, and Gladys Hawthorne.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Powell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends from 10-11 A.M. prior to the service.
