Ware Shoals, SC - Bessie Evelyn Higgins, 90 of 12 Higgins Drive died Thursday, September 20, 2012 She was born in Greenwood County, a daughter of the late Ernest M. and Annie Reeves Higgins. She was a railroad retiree, having spent many years at CSX. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Evelyn was the last member of her immediate family. Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by a sister, Annie Sara Higgins.
Graveside services will be conducted Sunday at Turkey Creek Cemetery at 2:00 PM, with the Rev. Wayne Wicker officiating.
