Pauline Schiffley

Charlotte – Pauline Bridges Schiffley, 93, widow of George Schiffley, of 8207 White Horse Drive, formerly of Ware Shoals, died Thursday at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Born in Simpsonville, she was a daughter of the late Hauley A. and Bertie Henderson Bridges. She was a member of Lee Road Baptist Church of Greenville and was a retried secretary for Burlington Industries.

Surviving are a brother Charles E. Bridges of Simpsonville and a sister, Jewel B. Holliday of Marietta, Ga.

Graveside services will be held at 3 PM Sunday at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Ware Shoals, with Rev. Dr. Bruce Ostrom officiating.

Chris Freeman

Belton - Danny Christopher Freeman, 46, of 1104-A Henry Thomas Rd, died Friday, July 4, 2014 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of Patsy Louise Dutton Freeman and the late Danny Leon ‘Scatter” Freeman. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and a carpenter.

Surviving in addition to his mother of the home are: a daughter, Jala (Thomas) Brown of Anderson, a sister, Sonya Diane Freeman of Belton, and a nephew, Justin (Kaley) Freeman of Belton. He was predeceased by a brother, Brian Lee Freeman.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2014 at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Carroll Plemmons officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.

The family is at the home of his nephew, 114 Walter Wilson Rd, Belton, and will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Monday at the church prior to the service.
