Herbert White

Ware Shoals – Herbert “Huck” White, 91, widower of Vivian Fisher White, of 1 Davis St., died Sunday, December 02, 2012 at Self Regional Healthcare.

Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Charlton and Effie Lou Pitt White. He was a member of the Ware Shoals First Baptist Church and the Ware Shoals Masonic Lodge. He was retired from Riegel Textile Co. and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, World War II. He loved the Town of Ware Shoals, the First Baptist Church, Riegel, and the Saluda River.

Surviving are a daughter, Sonya Wiggins and husband Leon of Columbia, a brother, Jimmy White of Greenwood, two sisters, Maria Quattlebaum and Betty White, both of Greenwood, one granddaughter, Sheri Jennelle and husband Jason, two great-grandchildren, Emma Grace and Logan Skye Jennelle.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
