Lucy Hughes

Donalds – Lucy Pearson Hughes, 88, widow of Fred C. Hughes, of 85 Drake Rd., died Monday, July 06, 2009 at her home.

Born in Greenville County she was a daughter of the late Bub and Annie Snow Pearson. She was a member of Donalds Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, David Hughes of Donalds, a daughter, Marlene Hawthorne of Donalds, a sister, Ruth Coker of Greenville, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Slatten officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 P.M. Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home prior to the service. The family is at the home. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com
