Born in Johnstown SC, he was a son of the late Johnny and Cornelia Tyre Webb. He was a member of Mt Bethel United Methodist Church and retired from Bi-Lo. He was twice married, first to the late Mary Inez Flanagan Webb.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 26 years of  the home are: three step-sons, Richard (Lindy) Wood, Joe (Brenda) Wood, and Roger (Patty) Wood, all of Ware Shoals, a daughter, Debra (Sidney) Edwards of Greenwood, three step-daughters, Judy Ridgeway and special friend, Dan Patterson, Joyce Davis, and Jane (Marion Ray) Carnell, all of Ware Shoals, a brother, Ernest Webb of New Ellenton, SC, two sisters, Janelle Mitchum of Clearwater, and Brenda Stovall of Augusta, GA, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Mt Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Byron Wood officiating. Burial will be private.

The family is at the home and will receive friends 3-4 p.m. Sunday at the church prior to the service.
