Born in Lockport, New York, he was a son of the late Leroy A. Chase and Katherine Chase. He was a 28 year Military Veteran and was a retired machinist from Neptune Meter Company of Greenwood.

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving is his friend and caregiver Lane Laney of Greenwood.

A private burial will be held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Parker-White-Pruitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
