Hodges – Homer Johnson, 79 of 1911 Morgan Road, husband of Irene Poole Johnson, died September 24, 2011 at Hospice of the Piedmont in Greenwood.

Born in Anderson county, he was a son of the late Lewis and Corrine Duncan Johnson. He was retired from Riegel Textiles and was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving are his wife of the home, brother; Lankford Johnson of Honea Path, numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, special dog: Baby and very special friend; Wally. He is predeceased by brothers; Marvin, Clarence, J.V., Frank, Guy and Herman Johnson and Sisters; Beula Lollis, Eula Brock and Mattie Lou Pirtle.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Monday at Parker-White Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Hamman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Monday prior to the service at Parker-White Funeral Home. The family is at the home. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com.
