Ware Shoals - James Junior “Burlo” Epps, 83, of 12167 Hwy 25, widower of Judith Earline Loner Epps, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at his home.

Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late James Robert Epps, Sr. and Bernice Holliday Epps. He was a member of the Bethany World Outreach Center in Honea Path, retired from Dixie Container, worked at Riegel Mill and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was active in his church while his health allowed, and loved playing and coaching baseball, fishing, hunting, and being outdoors.

Mr. Epps is survived by a sister-in-law, Brenda Epps, many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, being predeceased by three brothers, Frankie, Troy and William Epps, and four sisters, Phedonia Cothran, Nan Medlock, Neeta Jordan and Cheryl McGaha.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Bethany World Outreach Center with Rev. Rickey Knight officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home of a niece, Tiffany Scogins, 7 Robinson St., Honea Path, and will receive friends from 3-4 PM prior to service on Saturday at Bethany World Outreach Center. Waterloo – Mary Frances Medlin Coker, 88, of 547 Rocky Top Road, who after an extended period of declining health joyfully and peacefully crossed over into the arms of Jesus at Hospice Care of the Piedmont. She was the wife of Carl Coker and was born in Ware Shoals, SC on June 4, 1928 to the late Luther and Gertrude Medlin.
