Iva – Jack L. Brock, 84, widower of Kathryn York Brock, of 4407 Trail Rd., died Thursday at AnMed Health Center in Anderson.

Born in Abbeville County he was a son of the late George and Nimmie Etheridge Brock. He was a Charter Member and Deacon, Trustee, and Sunday School Teacher of Asaville Baptist Church. He was employed for many years at Riegel Textile Co. and was retired from Dexter Distributing Co. of Anderson.


Surviving are a daughter, Jackie Medlock and husband Tommy of Iva; a grandson, T.J. Medlock and wife Dollie of Iva, and a precious great-granddaughter, Allibeth Medlock. He was pre-deceased by six brothers, George, Reece, Sloan, Ansel, Cecil, and Ralph Brock, and three sisters, Amy Wilson, Eunice Fisher, and Claudia Murdock.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday at Asaville Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Walters and Rev. Ralph Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M. and immediately after the service at the church. The family is at the home. Pruitt Funeral Home, Honea Path in charge of arrangements.
