Ware Shoals – Alma Banister” Granny” Hall, at the age of 92 was called home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 16, 2023
Born in Anderson county on July 29, 1930 to the late Marvin and Clara Gentry Banister. She married Willard Hall on December 20, 1947 and raised their only son Rodger. She was totally dedicated to God and her family. She was a faithful member to her churches attending Ware Shoals Church of God of Prophecy and Gethsemane Church. She was the oldest member of Gethsemane Church.
She worked at Riegel Textile Co. for over 40 years, retired, and went back to work for Mt. Vernon Mills for another 5 years, finally retiring to take care of her great-grandchildren.
Surviving are two sisters, Maxine Case of Alexandria, VA and Pauline Hanley of Ware Shoals, a grandson, Joel Hall (Veronica) of Hodges, a granddaughter, Christie Lowe (Mark) of Ware Shoals, great-grandchildren Nathan Lowe (Kynsey), Noelle Lowe, Abigail Hall, and Ashlea Hall.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a son, Rodger Hall, a brother, John Banister, and a sister, Helen Bratcher.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Gethsemane Church, 5010 US-Hwy 25, Hodges, with Rev. Mark Lowe and Rev. Keith Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery in Ware Shoals.
