Ware Shoals – James Curtis Wells, 89, husband of Carol Eugenia McCurry Wells, of Harmony Road, died Friday, December 24, 2021 at his home.
Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late James Washington and Ollie Madden Wells. He was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard, Ware Shoals Unit, the Brewerton Lodge #183 A.F.M. and the Hejaz Shrine. He was the owner of Curtis Wells Builders.
In addition to his wife of the home, Curtis is survived by a son, Ken Wells (Angel) of Ware Shoals, two daughters, Wanda Simmons (Leroy) of Hodges, and Kimberly Webster (Bryan) of Simpsonville, a sister, Dorothy Pulley of Ware Shoals, eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Craig Curtis Wells, a brother, William A. “Bud” Wells, and two sisters, Wilma Wells and Virginia Campbell.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Oakbrook Memorial Park Outdoor Mausoleum with Rev. Dr. Bill Rogers officiating.
