Honea Path- Richard Ernest “Goose” Smith, 49, of Kay St., died Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Prisma Health in Greenville.
Born in Anderson, S.C., he was the son of the late Jerry Robertson and Mary M. Smith. Richard was a member of the Honea Path First Baptist Church He worked in the local furniture stores of Simpson, Snipes and Hampton’s for over 20 years. He was employed with the Town of Honea Path and was an avid Clemson fan.
In addition to his mother of Columbia, he is survived by one brother, Russell Ashley of Anderson and two sisters, Ruth Ashley of Anderson and Ruby Lollis of Donalds..
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Crocker officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
