Hendersonville – Jeanleene Day Johnston, of Hendersonville North Carolina, formerly of Waterloo, SC, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Park Ridge Hospital.
Born July 8, 1951 in Norfolk Virginia, she led an exciting life. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood, SC, then later acquired her commercial driver’s license, and was able to travel the United States. More recently, she was enrolled in on-line classes to complete her Bachelor’s Degree. She was a very diligent student and was recognized on the Dean’s List each semester. She loved great food, family, and shopping. She was always willing to help someone in need, often putting their needs before her own. Her greatest skill was the ability to “light up a room with just her smile”.
She is survived by her only son, Paul Jason Hall (Teri) of Hendersonville, NC, grandsons, Dustin Daughety, Joshua Avery, Conner Hall, and Duncan Hall, a granddaughter, Madison Daughety, a great-granddaughter, Aubrey Daughety, her siblings, Monteene Wrenn of Augusta GA, Denise South (Ricky) of Ware Shoals, Thad Strickland (Jackie) of Ware Shoals, Carroll Strickland (Amy) of Donalds, and Rickey Timms (Roxine) of Waterloo, her uncle, Pete Madison of Ware Shoals, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to attend a gathering at 1 P.M. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2511 McCormick Hwy, Greenwood, SC 29646, to share memories and celebrate her life.
