Ware Shoals – John Roger Posey, Sr., 66, husband of Starr Edens Posey, of 122 Forget Me Not Drive, died Friday, December 23, 2016 at HospiceCare of the Piedmont.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late John Wesley and Ethel Pauline Hyatt Posey. He was a member of Wilderness Holiness Church and was a retired self-employed brick mason.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 47 years of the home are: three daughters, Tammy Siegel of Easley, Mandy Chapman of the home, and Misty (Jason) Trammell of Easley, two brothers, Stanley and Phil Posey, both of Easley, three sisters, Judy (Rick) Epps and Cathy (Jesse) James, all of Easley, and Darlene Locke of Liberty, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, John Roger Posey, Jr., four brothers and a sister.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Monday, December 26, 2016 at Brissey Family Cemetery with Rev. Sheila Brissey officiating.
