Ware Shoals – Kathleen Armstrong Wood Webb, 93, widow of Theodore “Ned” Webb, of 1259 Mt. Bethel Road, died Wednesday, July 06, 2016 at National Health Care of Laurens.
Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Richard “Jack” and Rosa Lee Davis Armstrong. She was a member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church and was retired from Richloom. She was twice married, first to the late Joseph E. Wood, Sr. She was a member of the O.E.S Boyd Bobo Chapter.
Surviving are three sons, Richard (Lindy) Wood, Joe (Brenda) Wood, Jr., and Roger (Patty) Wood all of Ware Shoals, three daughters, Judy Ridgeway and special friend, Dan Patterson, Joyce Davis and special friend Ellis Brewington, and Jane (Marion Ray) Carnell all of Ware Shoals, one sister, Joanne Bowers of Anderson, 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was pre-deceased by two sons Timothy Lee Wood and Terry EugeneWood, and a brother, James Armstrong, a sister, Doris Hall, and a grandson, Avery Carnell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Byron Wood and Rev. Keith Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at Parker-White Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Mt.
