Ware Shoals – James L. “Jimmy” Brownlee, 66, husband of Delia “Dede” Ackerson Brownlee, of 228 Turkey Creek Drive, died Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Self Regional Hospital.
Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Otis Lindon and Mattie Sue Henderson Brownlee. He was of the Baptist Faith and was a Veteran of the U. S. Navy Seabees, Vietnam War. He was retired from ASI of Ware Shoals.
Surviving are his wife of the home, a son, James Alan Brownlee of Ware Shoals, a daughter, Jessica Kate Brownlee of Greenwood, two sisters, Joanne Vickery of Dalton, Ga. and Nancy Turner of Greenwood, and one grandson, Maddox Ryan McCarthy. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Harold “Buddy” Brownlee.
Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Wayne Wicker officiating.
