Honea Path – Austin Trace McMillan, 17, son of James Timothy and Jamie Alecia Green McMillan, of 4003 Shady Grove Road, died Monday, September 28, 2015.
Born in Anderson County, he was of the Baptist Faith and was an eleventh grade student at BHP High School where he participated in the FFA. He was also a Junior Fireman at Friendship Fire Department.
Surviving in addition to his parents of the home are: two brothers, Cole and Nathan McMillan of the home; paternal grandparents, Sherill Mitchell and husband (Darrin) and Tim McMillan and wife (Marsha); maternal grandfather, Tony Green and wife (Stephanie) and maternal grandmother, Karen Holcombe, and maternal great-grandparents, Billy and Doris Green.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Colloms and Rev. Archie Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 4 – 8 P.M. Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made in memory of Austin to Friendship Fire Department, 1938 Abercrombie Road, Honea Path, SC 29654.
