Anderson – Anna Frances DeVore Nims, 91, formerly of Honea Path, widow of Joseph White Nims, Jr., died Sunday, August 23, 2015 at NHC of Anderson.
Born in AndersonCounty, she was a daughter of the late Elbert Otis and Annie Florence Wright DeVore. She was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church, D.A.R., and the Honea Path Library Board. Mrs. Nims was a graduate of The Greenville School of Nursing and was a registered nurse.
Surviving are: a son, Joseph White (Torie) Nims, III of Nashville TN, three daughters, Margaret Fisher of Anderson, Jeannie Stahlecker of TX, and Pat Johs of Franklin, TN, a sister, Florence Brigman of Burlington, NC, five grandchildren, Brian Fisher, Bethany Adair, Cody Stahlecker, Ben Nims, Kate Nims, and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Kathryn DeVore Adams, a brother, Dr. E.O. DeVore, Jr., and a sister, Patricia Ragsdale.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the Honea Path City Cemetery with Rev. Mike Moody officiating.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
