Barbara Haitz

Honea Path – Barbara Deloris Walter Haitz, 82, wife of Cornelius S. Haitz, of 116 Murray Avenue, died Sunday, January 4, 2015 at her home.

Born in Hillside, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Charles Percy and Marie Alice Abbott Walter.  She was a member of 1^st Moravian Church in Greensboro, NC, a DAR member and volunteer for meals on wheels of Greensboro, NC.

Surviving in addition to her husband are:  one son, Robert Haitz of Honea Path, one sister, Jean DeHart of Greer, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  She is predeceased by two sons, Richard S. and James Neil and one daughter, Catherine.

Funeral Services will be held at 4PM Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Powell and Rev. Jason Lawton officiating.  The family will receive friends after the service.  Burial will be Friday in the Salem Moravian Graveyard in Winston-Salem.
