Roy Gambrell

Anderson – James Roy Gambrell, Jr., 85 of Lane Ave., husband of Joyce Ragsdale Gambrell, died Tuesday June 3^rd, 2014 at Fellowship Health and Rehab of Anderson.

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late James Roy Gambrell, Sr. and Alice Greer Gambrell. He was retired as Vice President of Operations from Wometco Food Services and was a US Air Force veteran, and a member of Pope Drive Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of the home, one son, James Mark Gambrell; two daughters, Jane Gambrell White and husband Jimmy, Janice Gambrell Campbell and the late Steve Campbell; one brother, Larry Gene Gambrell and wife Judy; two grandchildren, Aimee White Sharp and husband BJ and Matthew Stephen White and wife Taylor and two great-grandchildren, all of Anderson.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Dr. Mack Tester and Rev. Bill Rigsby. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
