Betty Hood

Ware Shoals – Betty Marlene Bagwell Hood, 77, wife of John Thomas “J. T.” Hood, passed away Sunday, April 27^th, 2014 at National Healthcare of Anderson.

Born in Ware Shoals, she was a daughter of the late Ralph Leo and Ruby Linley Bagwell. She was a member of Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was retired from FL Aerospace.

She was the Love of J.T.’s life, and an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother, who continued to teach her family about life, even through her passing.

Surviving in addition to her husband are one son: Michael Hood (DeLane) of Anderson; two daughters: Renee Coggins (Chuck) of Anderson and Sonja Hood (Terri Crews) of Anderson; two brothers: Bobby Bagwell and Furman Bagwell; one sister: Vivian Black; seven grandchildren: Haven Hanley, Logan Hood, Mark Gonce, Matthew Gonce, Cade Coggins, Conner Coggins, and Chaz Coggins; and two great-grandchildren: Nolan Gonce and Peyton Hanley.

She was preceded in death by four brothers: Mansel, Billy, Herman, and Joe Bagwell.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, April 30^th at Parker-White Funeral Home with Mr. Jimmy Free officiating. Burial will follow at Oakbrook Memorial Park.

The Family is at the home of the son: Michael Hood, 1821 Dalrymple Rd, Anderson, and will receive friends Wednesday from 11 to 12 PM, prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979
