Diane Abrams

Laurens – Diane Gail Blackwell Abrams, 69, wife of John Thomas Abrams, Sr., of 235 Pitts Rd, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014.

Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late George William and Grace Jackson Blackwell, Sr. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and owner and operator of Lakeland Styling Salon. She was a member of the Cosmetology Association of Greenwood.

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are: a son, Rev. John Thomas Abrams, Jr. of Greer, a brother, Clarence Blackwell (Ann) of McCormick, four sisters, Grace Bryant (Tommy) of Ware Shoals, Patricia Fowler of Laurens, Jean Shelton (Mike) of Goose Creek, and June Abrams (Rick) of Clinton, and a grandson, John Thomas Abrams III. She was predeceased by a brother, George William Blackwell, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 14, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Crouch and Rev. Leland Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Church cemetery.
