Elizabeth “Lib” Parker

HONEA PATH – Elizabeth “Lib” Smith Parker, 81, widow of Clyde “Smiley” William Parker, of 1015 Austin Rd, died Monday, June 17, 2013 at AnMed Health.

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Till and Nina Thomas Smith. She was a member of Barker’s Creek Baptist Church, and worked as a hairdresser for 45 years.

Surviving are her son Ken Parker and wife Sharon of Honea Path, and two grandsons: Joel and Mac Parker, both of Honea Path. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday at Barker’s Creek Baptist Church, with Pastor Wesley Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family is at the home, and will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Barker’s Creek Baptist Church, 3207 Hwy 252, Honea Path, SC 29654 or to Meals on Wheels – Anderson at P.O. Box 285, Anderson, SC 29622.
