Burley Medlin

Ware Shoals – Burley G. Medlin, 93, husband of Sara Frances Snipes Medlin, of 9667 Indian Mound Rd, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at his home.

Born in Oconee County, he was a son of the late Oscar and Bonnie Hand Medlin. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and retired from Riegel Textile Corp. and Daniel Construction. He was an avid fisherman.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 68 years of the home are: three sons, Wayne Medlin and wife Vickie of Fountain Inn, Ronald Medlin and wife Judy of Gray Court, and Ray Medlin and wife Mary of Fountain Inn, a daughter, Kay Roth of Joanna, a brother, Fred Medlin, four sisters, Hazel Bagwell, Aquilla Wilson, Eula Medlin, and Jeanette Blackburn, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Donald Medlin and a sister, Bertha Wilson.

Graveside services will be held at 3 P.M. Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Reedy Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church cemetery with Rev. Tommy Wooten officiating.
